後期印象主義 Post-Impressionism
Paul Cezanne 塞尚(1839-1906)為法國畫家。他是後期印象派畫家，其對繪畫創作上的理論之研究，對後來的現代主義繪畫有很大的影響，被稱為「現代繪畫之父」。

學習法律出身的塞尚，一生的藝術生活，都是從自身接觸自然而來。他雖然對印象派在外光和色彩上肯定了其成就。但他認為印象派的表現太表面，進而自身去探索不同於印象派的表現法，注重表現物質的具體性、穩定性和內在結構。並且用色彩的對比來表現物像的體積感。
